Connect a Base wallet to BaiBai in a few steps

8453 is Base’s chain ID, the network identifier your wallet uses when connecting to BaiBai. Open the app, choose Connect, select your wallet and approve the connection in the wallet prompt.

Connecting lets BaiBai read your public address and network; it does not, by itself, authorize a token trade.

If you want to check the project’s own reference, see baibai.pro. Keep the wallet prompt open while you connect, and return to the app once it confirms the connection.

How do you connect a wallet to BaiBai?

Open BaiBai in a browser where your wallet extension is available, then select Connect. Choose your wallet from the options shown and confirm the request in its pop-up or mobile app.

The wallet may ask you to sign a message to prove you control the address. A signature is different from a transaction: it should not move funds or spend tokens, but read the prompt before approving it. Once connected, the app should display your address or wallet status.

If the wallet does not appear, check that its extension is unlocked and that the browser is allowing pop-ups. On a phone, open the app through a compatible wallet browser or connection flow; a desktop extension prompt will not appear in an ordinary mobile browser.

How do you switch your wallet to Base?

Choose Base in your wallet’s network selector, or accept the wallet’s request to switch networks if it appears during connection. Base is an Ethereum Layer 2 network, so assets held on Ethereum mainnet or another chain are not automatically available on Base.

For swaps, you need a supported asset on Base. If your funds are elsewhere, you would need to move them to Base first; check the destination network and token before confirming a withdrawal or bridge transfer. A wallet can connect successfully while still being on the wrong network, so check the network name in both the wallet and BaiBai before trading.

What should you check before trading on BaiBai?

Connecting is only the first step. Select the tokens and amount in the trade panel, then review the quote and transaction details before you approve anything. If the wallet asks for a token approval, that permission allows a contract to use the specified token; review the token and requested permission carefully.

  • Confirm the wallet address is the one you intend to use.
  • Confirm the wallet shows Base before you trade.
  • Read signature, approval and transaction prompts individually.
  • Keep your recovery phrase and private keys out of websites and chat messages.

Some interfaces sponsor network fees, but that can depend on the transaction and service conditions. Your wallet may still show a fee or ask for a transaction confirmation, so rely on the prompt rather than assuming a swap is gas-free.

If you only want to connect, stop after the app shows your wallet as connected. For most users, the clearest check is simple: the expected address is displayed, Base is selected, and no transaction has been signed unless you chose to trade.
