Why Your Exchange Withdrawal Missed the Mantle Bridge
An exchange withdrawal sends tokens to an address on one network; it does not bridge them to Mantle, so check the chain and route before sending.

Two network steps are involved when you move tokens from an exchange to Mantle through a bridge: the exchange withdrawal and the bridge transfer. The first sends tokens to an address on its selected network; it does not automatically move them to Mantle.
If the withdrawal reached your wallet on another chain, the funds may be there already, waiting for a separate bridge transaction.
Why didn’t my exchange withdrawal reach Mantle?
An exchange withdrawal sends tokens on the network you selected, while a bridge moves assets between networks in a separate transaction. If you withdrew on Ethereum, for example, the tokens arrive on Ethereum even if you planned to use them on Mantle afterward.
An Ethereum-style address can look the same across networks, which can make this confusing. The address alone does not tell you which chain holds the funds. For a fuller comparison of routes and trade-offs, see this guide to the mantle bridge.
How can I tell where the withdrawal went?
Start with the exchange’s withdrawal record. If it is still pending and has no transaction hash, the exchange may not have sent it to the blockchain yet; if it is marked complete, use the hash to check the transaction on the network named in the withdrawal details.
Then check the receiving wallet on that same network. A balance or transaction there means the withdrawal arrived, even if the bridge page is showing no funds. If the withdrawal record has no hash or the transaction failed, contact the exchange through its official support channel.
What should I check before bridging?
Make sure the bridge is set to use the network where your tokens currently sit. A bridge checks a source-chain balance, so selecting Mantle as the destination does not make tokens held on another chain appear as source funds.
- Confirm the withdrawal’s network and transaction status in the exchange.
- Check the wallet balance on that exact network.
- Choose the matching source network in the bridge, then confirm the destination is Mantle.
- Check the asset and any displayed fee before approving the bridge transaction.
The bridge transfer itself requires a wallet transaction and a network fee. Depending on the route, it may also take time to complete; a withdrawal marked complete only confirms that the exchange sent funds, not that a later bridge transfer has happened.
What if I chose the wrong network?
First, identify the chain and destination address shown in the withdrawal record. If the funds reached an address you control on a supported network, you may be able to access them there and then use a compatible route to move them.
If you sent funds to an exchange deposit address on a network it does not support, contact that exchange with the transaction hash and details. Do not send a second withdrawal to try to fix the first; establish where the original funds are before taking another step.
